Prosecutor General Ruslan Kravchenko says he has no involvement in covering up the activities of illegal call centers.

This is said in a statement posted by the Prosecutor General on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

“In connection with the investigation into possible facilitation of the activities of illegal call centers, I consider it necessary to clearly state my position: I have nothing whatsoever to do with covering up illegal call centers, I did not give instructions to facilitate such activities, and I did not use the powers of the Prosecutor General for this purpose,” the statement says.

Kravchenko also said he had suspended from official duties an employee of the Office of the Prosecutor General (OPG) who is involved in an investigation by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), and had ordered preparations for a personnel decision on the employee’s dismissal in accordance with the procedure prescribed by law.

At the same time, he stressed that the employee’s guilt would ultimately be established by a court.
