Egyptian TV presenter Sarah Khalifa and 11 others have been sentenced to death for manufacturing and trafficking synthetic drugs in Cairo.
The group, part of a 28-defendant case, allegedly imported raw materials, manufactured narcotics and distributed them from a residential property.
Investigators seized more than 750kg of synthetic narcotics and related materials, with prosecutors relying on witness statements and digital evidence.
Ms Khalifa, known for hosting a crime-focused programme, was arrested in April 2025 and has denied all involvement in the alleged criminal activity.
