Top professional and amateur golfers from across Africa are set to battle for a $50,000 prize purse at the Lakowe Lakes Golf Classic 2026, as Nigeria hosts a tournament offering world ranking opportunities to players on home soil.
The tournament, scheduled for October 1 to 4 at Lakowe Lakes Golf and Country Estate, Lagos, will be played over 54 holes and marks another milestone in the development of professional golf in Nigeria.
The event’s inclusion on the Sunshine Developmental Tour schedule provides emerging and established professionals with a competitive platform to gain experience and advance their careers on the international golf circuit.
Lakowe Lakes is expected to attract a strong international field, with professionals from across Africa competing for the title and a share of the $50,000 purse.
