Al Hilal secured their fifth consecutive Saudi Pro League victory, defeating Al Shabab 2-0 to maintain a perfect start to the 2026/27 season.
Gabriel Martinelli made his debut as a substitute, coming on in the 67th minute, just 24 hours after his transfer from Arsenal was confirmed.
The Brazilian forward spent seven years at Arsenal, making 278 appearances, scoring 62 goals and winning three major honours including the Premier League.
Al Hilal's 2025 Fifa Club World Cup performance, including a victory over Manchester City, was a key factor in Martinelli's decision to join the club.
