According to an unnamed source cited by the agency, a modified US Air Force Boeing C-32A departed from Miami, Florida, and made an intermediate stop in Helsinki, Finland, before continuing into Russian airspace. Tracking data from the monitoring service FlightRadar24 corroborated the flight path, showing the Boeing C-32A crossing the Russian border over the Gulf of Finland and passing near St. Petersburg around midday. The Boeing C-32A is a military transport aircraft frequently utilized for travel by high-ranking US government officials, including the vice president and the secretary of state. Envoys prepare for subsequent talks in Kyiv The arrival in Moscow precedes a scheduled diplomatic visit to the Ukrainian capital. According to previous reports citing US and Ukrainian officials, Witkoff and Kushner are expected to hold talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin before traveling to Kyiv on Sunday, Sept. 6, to meet with President Volodymyr Zelensky. The diplomatic mission marks an attempt to restart negotiations, which have remained stalled for several months.
