The second phase of the 2026 Nigeria Basketball Federation and Zenith Bank Plc Women’s Premier League gets underway on Saturday, with action taking place at the Basketball Stadium, Niger Street, Port Harcourt, and the Indoor Hall, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, for the Atlantic and Savannah Conferences respectively.

Two-time league winner MFM Women Basketball Team remain the team to beat in the Atlantic Conference after winning all their games during the first phase, which was played at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

MFM will begin their campaign in Port Harcourt against IGP Queens, who finished bottom of the conference after failing to win a game in Lagos.

Also on Saturday, First Phase surprise package Victoria Queens will take on First Deep Water, while First Bank face defending champions Dolphins. Bayelsa Blue Whales and Royal Aces will wrap up the opening day of action.

Dolphins will need to be at their best to defend their title and avoid the threat of relegation, while IGP Queens must also improve to escape the drop.
