The Lagos State University has condemned the assault on one of its students by a parent shown in a viral video.
The university disclosed that the incident involved students of its College of Medicine, Ikeja, but occurred at a private hostel outside the university’s campus premises.
In the viral video, the woman is seen repeatedly beating a younger girl while some people at the scene pleaded with her to stop.
The circumstances surrounding the confrontation were not immediately clear.
But the caption accompanying the video claimed that the woman had gone to the hostel to confront and assault her daughter’s roommate.
