President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed Ukraine’s defense needs and preparations for a meeting with U.S. President’s envoys with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
Zelensky said this on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
“I spoke with Mark Rutte. I briefed him on the situation with Russian strikes, our defense needs, and preparations for meetings with envoys of the U.S. President. Mark and I see the need for progress in diplomacy in the same way, and the meetings taking place in the coming days could be useful,” Zelensky said.
The Ukrainian President thanked the partners for their attention to Ukraine’s needs to cover the gap in defense funding.
“We are working on this. Mark told me about his conversations regarding the financing of the PURL initiative and the Patriot missiles Ukraine needs. Thank you for your support!” Zelensky wrote.
