Jameela Jamil misses faces that move, and she’s blaming injectables. The “Good Place” actor sounded off on Botox ― and how it’s affected the things she’s watched and could affect future jobs for women in acting ― in a powerful Instagram post on Thursday.“I can’t look at Botoxed faces anymore,” Jamil declared. “I miss the faces that move. I miss women frowning and laughing without it looking painful. I am in my forties. My peers are injecting all the *wild* out of themselves and I miss it. It’s too much. We have lost a grip on reality. Emotion is POWER.”In the caption of her Instagram post, Jamil had a further take on why injectables were dangerous for women. “I truly believe this is a ploy to make it so easy to replace women with AI on screen and online,” she said, adding, “It’s easy to replicate a motionless face that looks like every other face. It’s already happening.” Olivia Wilde recently spoke about how the presence of injectables in Hollywood is affecting her job, too. “As a director, I now am constantly searching for actresses who can still move their faces,” the “Don’t Worry Darling” director shared with Vogue, saying it’s “not easy” though it’s something she understands. “I’m a product of the same machine, I’m under the same pressures ― I get it,” she added. “I just pray for technology to allow treatments that just aren’t so aggressive. Like, there’s something so medieval about all these things. Can’t someone come up with something better than Botox?”
