Nvidia $NVDA's equity investments in AI companies hit $99 billion as of July 26, a figure the company disclosed that represents a jump from approximately $7 billion twelve months prior and around $2.2 billion at the same point two years ago. The chip giant has committed more than $40 billion in 2026 alone as it moves to expand its position across the AI sector.
The total places Nvidia in rare company among corporate tech investors worldwide, though it remains behind Alphabet $GOOGL and Amazon $AMZN, each of which disclosed equity holdings above $100 billion in their most recent earnings reports.
