SUSTAINera has made it its mission to develop solutions within the 4R strategy – Remanufacturing, Repair, Reuse, Recycle – that extend product lifespans, avoid waste, conserve resources and reduce the CO2 footprint. This includes, in particular, the disassembly and refurbishment of vehicle components so they can be reused as spare parts in other cars.
SUSTAINera is now expanding its range of refurbished parts from internal combustion engine vehicles to include electric and hybrid vehicles. This covers high-voltage batteries, electrically driven compressors and electrified dual-clutch transmissions for mild hybrids. All parts are refurbished to OEM specifications, with the same performance characteristics and warranty conditions as MOPAR original parts.
According to Stellantis: refurbished spare parts are more environmentally friendly, as they save up to 80 per cent of raw materials and up to 40 per cent of CO2 emissions compared to new parts – thereby supporting resource-efficient mobility. Incidentally, SUSTAINera has already supplied refurbished EV batteries for stationary energy storage systems in the past, such as for Rome Airport.
Stellantis will showcase the refurbished products next week at Automechanika in Frankfurt (8 to 12 September) in Hall 9.0, Stand F84-E84. The trade fair appearance is designed as a live workshop environment, allowing visitors to experience Stellantis’ 360° aftermarket approach firsthand. In a dedicated exhibition area, SUSTAINera will demonstrate how circular economy solutions can benefit workshops, aftermarket professionals, dealers and customers.
