Nigeria’s fast-rising tennis player Seun Ogunsakin has won his first qualifying match at the 2026 US Open Junior Tennis Championships, PUNCH Sports Extra reports.

The Aurum Tennis Academy sensation defeated Poland’s Tymon Litwic 6-3, 6-0 to secure a place in the final round of the qualifiers.

The 14-year-old will now face Canada’s Felix Roussel in the next round of qualifying.

Ogunsakin is playing in his third consecutive Grand Slam event. His Grand Slam journey began at the Roland Garros Junior Championships before he featured at Wimbledon Juniors.
