The Lagos State Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Ope George
The Lagos State Government will on Monday begin consultations with residents on its 2027 spending plans, seeking their input on projects and programmes that should receive priority across the state’s five divisions.
The exercise, organised by the Ministry of Economic Planning and Budget, will provide a platform for communities, businesses, civil society organisations and other stakeholders to identify their most pressing needs ahead of the preparation of the 2027 Appropriation Bill.
The first consultation will be held in the Ikeja Division on September 7 before moving to Badagry, Ikorodu, Lagos Island and Epe in a five-day exercise covering the five divisions collectively known as IBILE.
According to a statement obtained by The PUNCH on Thursday, the Ikeja consultation will begin at 10 am at the Multipurpose Hall, Radio Lagos, Agidingbi, with the Commissioner for Economic Planning and Budget, Ope George, expected to lead officials of the ministry.
