Vice President JD Vance indicated that U.S. overtures to Beijing to crack down on Chinese banks providing financial services to Iran are beginning to work.The vice president told the Washington Examiner during a White House press briefing Thursdsay that he wasn’t sure whether President Donald Trump had raised the subject with Chinese President Xi Jinping personally. But Vance said that administration officials have had conversations with Beijing and that, “frankly, I think the Chinese have been responsive to some of the requests that we’ve made.”
