“It’s great for (Wilson’s) teammates, this locker room. It’s good for the fan base. Anyone that really knows Mike, you can’t help but root for the guy. So that’s awesome.”Even with Marvin Harrison Jr. on the roster, it’s not farfetched to suggest Wilson is Arizona’s top receiver. The 26-year-old Wilson led Cardinals receivers last year with 78 receptions, 1,006 yards and seven touchdowns.He especially flourished once Jacoby Brissett stepped in at quarterback to replace an injured Kyler Murray, averaging 96.9 receiving yards over Arizona’s final eight games. Wilson was a big-play threat, making contested grabs. More importantly, he was dependable.He has shown similar qualities this preseason, at least enough to prove last year was not a fluke. With Harrison and tight end Trey McBride also commanding touches, it’s tricky to estimate Wilson’s production for the upcoming season, but it’s safe to assume he will be a significant part of LaFleur’s offense — now and in the future.
