Two women who were picking mushrooms in a Russian forest have died after being mauled and buried by wild bears.Galina Teterina, 73, and Zoya G, 67, who were separately picking mushrooms, both disappeared near Podtyosovo in Krasnoyarsk region, Siberia.Their ravaged bodies were later discovered buried in the ground just 16 feet apart from one another.First responders believe Zoya was killed and buried first, and that Galina suffered the same fate some hours later after arriving at the same spot. Following the attack, a bear was shot dead after being spotted near a school in the neighbouring suburb of Yemelyanovo. The city of Krasnoyarsk has since been placed on high alert, as the incident is the latest in what has been one of the worst summers on record for bear attacks. Elsewhere in the Altai Mountains, bride-to-be Snezhana Korolyova, 29, was mauled to death by a brown bear after she was pulled from the tent she was sharing with her boyfriend during a romantic camping trip.The bear stormed their tent at around 1am and hauled the woman away, mauling her to death and burying her near Lake Teletskoye.Gamekeepers and police shot bullets into the air - but did not aim at the beast.Emergency worker Snezhana's parents blame her fiancé for the bear attack because they say he insisted on sleeping in a tent when she had wanted to rent a cabin.'He wanted to save money,' said her father, Anton, despite a known bear threat.'He became frightened and ran away.'He did nothing to try to help my daughter and did not suffer a single scratch himself.' They are simply hungrier and bolder.'
