The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) will operate 2,400 additional buses from Bengaluru to various destinations across Karnataka and neighbouring States to meet the expected surge in passenger demand during the upcoming Gowri-Ganesha festival.
The special services will be operated from September 11 to 13, ahead of the festival on September 14 and the weekend holidays on September 12 and 13. Following the festival, special buses will also be operated from various intra-State and inter-State destinations towards Bengaluru from September 14.
From the Kempegowda Bus Station, Bengaluru, special buses will be operated to several destinations, including Dharmasthala, Kukke Subhramanya, Shivamogga, Hassan, Mangaluru, Kundapura, Sringeri, Horanadu, Davangere, Hubballi, Dharwad, Belagavi, Vijayapura, Gokarna, Sirsi, Karwar, Raichur, Kalaburagi, Ballari, Koppal, Yadgir and Bidar. Services will also be available to Tirupati, Vijayawada and Hyderabad.
Special buses from the Mysuru Road Bus Station will operate towards Mysuru, Hunsur, Piriyapatna, Virajpet, Kushalnagar and Madikeri.
Premier special buses will be operated from the BMTC Bus Station at Shanthinagar TTMC to destinations in Tamil Nadu and Kerala, including Madurai, Kumbakonam, Chennai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli, Palakkad, Thrissur, Ernakulam and Kozhikode.
