Korean swimmer Kim Woo-min said Thursday he will chase his second straight MVP honor for Korea at this month’s Asian Games in Japan. He won three gold medals and was voted Korea’s top athlete at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou. Kim said he wants to win as many medals as possible, with the 400m freestyle as his most important race, despite a minor shoulder injury.

Korean swimmer Kim Woo-min said Thursday he will chase his second straight MVP honor for the national delegation at this month's Asian Games in Japan.
Kim was voted the top athlete for Korea at the 2023 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, where he snapped up three gold medals.
"I would love to win my second straight MVP award," Kim told reporters before the national delegation launch ceremony at the Jincheon National Training Center in Jincheon, 85 kilometers south of Seoul, on Thursday. "It will not be easy but I will give it my best shot."
