An Air India Express flight traveling from Varanasi to Delhi was forced to make a precautionary landing at Lucknow airport on Thursday morning after a cargo hold smoke detection alarm was triggered, according to sources.Subsequent preliminary inspections conducted at Lucknow airport, however, revealed no evidence of smoke or fire on board.Flight IX 1253, carrying 155 passengers, departed Varanasi airport at approximately 8:00 AM. Initial checks confirmed no signs of smoke or fire inside the plane, and an investigation remains ongoing to pinpoint what triggered the false alarm.
