The Department of Budget and Management approved only 30 of the 179 projects proposed by the transportation department for inclusion in its proposed 2027 budget
The Department of Transportation (DOTr) proposed a P300.96-billion budget for 2027, significantly higher than the previous year's budget, but only 30 out of 179 proposed projects received funding approval from the Department of Budget and Management (DBM).
149 proposed projects worth P387 billion, including key transport infrastructure like the rehabilitation of LRT-2 and the Metro Manila Subway, remain unfunded in the National Expenditure Program submitted to Congress.
