The Chief Executive Officer of Egbin Power, Mokhtar Bounour.
Egbin Power has commenced the 11th edition of its annual scholarship programme, with over 250 students from its host communities participating in the 2026 pre-test exercise.
The power generation company said in a statement that the programme would provide free quality education to outstanding students selected from primary and secondary schools across its host communities.
The scholarship scheme, established under what the company called its Personal Corporate Social Responsibility initiative, is aimed at advancing quality education and creating opportunities for young people in the communities.
The company noted that the programme was also in line with Sustainable Development Goal 4, which calls for “inclusive and equitable quality education and the promotion of lifelong learning opportunities for all”.
