Tess Daly and Vernon Kay have been hailed as an "inspiration" by fans after enjoying a family holiday together three months on from announcing their decision to split20:20, 02 Sep 2026Tess Daly has posed with Vernon Kay in a series of holiday snaps - three months after they announced they had split. The former Strictly Come Dancing host, 57, had been married to BBC Radio host Vernon, 52, for more than 20 years and together they are parents to Phoebe, 21, and 17-year-old Amber.‌On Wednesday, the pair hinted to fans that all is well between them despite their split as they uploaded a string of family photos from their getaway to social media.‌Tess wrote alongside the photos: "Last blast of South of France summer with the fam," and instantly received praise from fans in the comment section for the way they have handled things.‌One fan said: "Amazing family all together it’s important for the girls and it’s inspiring!" Another said: "Excellent co-parenting. An inspiration to others."‌A third said: "looked like you all had a great time and that’s the main thing. Also it looks beautiful," and a fourth begged: "Stay with Vernon!!!"Just last week, it was reported that Vernon had decided to leave their six-bedroom in Buckinghamshire and found another property nearby.A source claimed: “They’ve been navigating the end of their marriage carefully and haven’t rushed into anything. Vernon has now bought a place close to the family home in Buckinghamshire. It means he can stay close to their girls, which is something important to both him and Tess.‌However, the insider added that work is not yet complete on the TV star's new property and he will only move out of his current home once everything is all done.Speaking to The Sun, the insider added: “He’s having renovations done and will move out when the house is ready. Tess is supporting him with the move. It’s going to be very strange for them after living together for over two decades, so they’re both treating the situation with care and respect.”‌Since announcing their decision to split, Tess and Vernon have been spotted out and about together, and appeared to be on good terms with each other when they took selfies with fans at the Pub in the Park Festival just weeks after the news broke.Shortly before that, the couple posted a joint statement to Instagram, which read: "After much consideration, and with a deep sense of care and respect for one another, we have made the decision to separate amicably. This has not been an easy choice, but it comes from a place of mutual understanding and a shared desire for what is best for both of us.“We remain great friends and more importantly, fully committed to our roles as loving and supportive parents, which will always be our priority. There are no other parties involved in this decision. We kindly ask for privacy during this time as we navigate this transition together. We will not be making any further public comments. Tess and Vernon.”Article continues belowLike this story?
