Rob Liefeld is finding a new home at Range Media Partners, with the comic book creator signing with the management firm.
Liefeld, known for Deadpool, Cable and other name brand characters, was a longtime client of Verve, but left the company at some point earlier this year. No reason for the move was disclosed.
“I’m excited to partner with the team at Range. I’ve spent decades creating characters and worlds, and I’m looking forward to finding new audiences and new avenues for these properties while continuing to build on what we’ve created,” said Liefeld in a statement.
Liefeld became a superstar artists in the late 1980s and early 1990s with work on titles such as The New Mutants and X-Force at Marvel, and parlayed that success to join a group of artists to co-found Image Comics in 1992.
Deadpool became one of the most bankable comic book characters in Hollywood a decade ago thanks to the first Ryan Reynolds Deadpool movie, which was followed by Deadpool 2 (2018) and the $1.3 billion grosser Deadpool & Wolverine (2024).
