Thank you for your attention to this matter. President DONALD J. TRUMP.”It comes amid a fresh escalation in the conflict between the US and Iran. US forces carried out new strikes on Iranian military targets on Tuesday, before Tehran responded with attacks on US bases and other assets across the region.‌The US strikes targeted sites along Iran’s southern coast, including air defence systems, radar sites and maritime assets. Iran responded with missile and drone attacks targeting US sites across the Middle East.Trump said the strikes followed what he described as an Iranian attempt to place sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz and missiles being fired towards a US military base in Jordan.Trump has previously claimed the US has “total control” of the Strait.
