Jana Sena Party (JSP) senior leader and in-charge of Parvatipuram Adada Mohana Rao on Wednesday said that Parvatipuram-Manyam district had been witnessing significant progress as Deputy Chief Minister and JSP president Pawan Kalyan was taking several initiatives for the quick progress of the tribal dominated district. On the occasion of Mr. Pawan Kalyan’s birthday, Mr. Rao and party leaders Paila Satyanarayana, Reddi Karuna and others took up several charitable activities including blood donation camps, distribution of dress materials to needy people.They also took out a rally after performance of special prayers in the name of Mr. Pawan in several temples.Mr. Rao said that Mr. Pawan, who handles Panchayatraj and Forest Departments, had released funds for the development of roads in the hilly terrains of tribal areas.Bringing Kumki elephants from Karnataka had provided a quick relief for people who were worried about the damage of crops due to movement of wild elephants, he said, adding that the well-trained Kumki elephants have been guiding wild elephants to move into forest areas instead of wandering in villages and residential areas of the district.
