Thieves used fake paperwork to steal more than 1,500 cases of PBR from a Southern California distribution center on Aug. 17

Pabst Blue Ribbon responded to the theft of roughly $70,000 worth of its beer from a Southern California warehouse with a social media campaign asking for the public's help and giving the thieves a deadline to return the goods with no questions asked. Police said the case remains under investigation.
The thefts, both occurring on Aug. 17 at an Anheuser-Busch distribution center in Montclair, California, about 40 miles east of Los Angeles, involved two separate incidents, the Montclair Police Department said. The first incident involved a shipment worth approximately $45,000 destined for Tucson, Arizona, which was collected from the facility but never reached its destination. Roughly an hour after the first theft, a company falsely presenting itself as a subcontractor presented forged documents and walked away with another $25,000 in goods, police said.
