The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) has warned of significant traffic disruptions around the FNB Stadium on Saturday, when the Springboks face New Zealand in a rugby Test match.
The Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department (JMPD) has advised fans attending the Springboks vs New Zealand Rugby's Greatest Rivalry Test match at FNB Stadium on Saturday to plan transport early.
Significant traffic delays and heavy congestion are expected across all major routes approaching the Nasrec precinct, including the Soweto Highway, M1, N12, and N1.
Superintendent Xolani Fihla, a JMPD spokesperson, said only pre-purchased parking passes will be accepted, noting that drivers heading to the stadium must secure an official parking pass online through the Springboks eTickets Platform (https://springboks.tmtickets.co.za/EDP/Event/Index/137) prior to setting off.
Fihla said: “On match day, no parking passes will be available for purchase at venue entrances or anywhere within the stadium grounds.”
