Sep 2, 2026 – 10.38amEucalyptus co-founder Charlie Gearside and FIG veteran Chris Cuffe’s Partners Horizon Fund have tipped into Sydney-based investing platform Pearler’s Series A raising.The eight-year-old business has closed the funding round at $16 million after a year-long effort. It was led by Canadian investor Portage Ventures, which in 2022 anchored Pearler’s $7.8 million seed round. Other Series A investors included New Zealand’s Altered Capital and Sydney-based family office No Brand.Sarah Thompson has co-edited Street Talk since 2009, specialising in private equity, investment banking, M&A and equity capital markets stories. Eucalyptus co-founder backs Pearler’s $16m Series A raise
Sources told Street Talk that Pearler finished last year with an annualised revenue run-rate of about $7 million, and a pre-money valuation of $50 million.
