The Osun State Police Command has arrested six suspects, including four staff members of the Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, for allegedly vandalising electricity installations in Ikirun, Osun State.
The other suspects arrested were an IBEDC security personnel and a welder.
The Police Public Relations Officer of the command, Abiodun Ojelabi, disclosed this in a statement made available to journalists on Tuesday.
According to Ojelabi, the suspects were arrested at the scene of the alleged crime by operatives of the Ikirun Police Division, following credible intelligence received by the command.
He said the suspects were allegedly caught cutting a high-tension electricity pole with a cutting machine powered by a generating set.
