The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has dismissed reports that FIFA demanded clarification over alleged government interference in the federation’s affairs following the resignation of its leadership.

The NFF described a purported letter circulating online and across social media as fake, insisting that FIFA has already accepted the resignations of former President Ibrahim Musa Gusau, General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi and eight Executive Committee members.

In a statement posted on its official X account on Tuesday, the NFF said the document did not originate from the world football governing body.
