The German government and relevant German authorities are convinced that Russian intelligence services were behind an attempted sabotage operation involving drones at Leipzig Airport.
German Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt and Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul said this in a special joint statement on September 1, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
“We have concluded that Russia is responsible for the hybrid attack in Leipzig,” Dobrindt said.
He added that it was a Russian hybrid operation in Europe orchestrated by state actors.
Wadephul described the incident as part of Russia’s aggressive hybrid activities against Europe.
