The chief financial officer of Charter Communications plans to join the new TPU chip-based neocloud set up by Google and Blackstone.
Jessica Fischer spent nearly nine and a half years at the company, and will continue to work at the US telco until October 15. Kevin Howard, current EVP and chief accounting officer & controller, will become interim CFO following her departure.
"I’m excited to share that, after nearly 10 years at Charter Communications, I'm embarking on an exciting new opportunity in the AI Infrastructure space - joining the newly-formed joint venture between Blackstone and Google in October," Fischer said.
"I leave behind an incredible team. Together we made important investments in the future of cable and brought together businesses with tremendous potential. I’m deeply grateful to my colleagues at Charter for their partnership, support, and commitment over the years. I’m proud of what we accomplished together, and I wish the team continued success."
