A police special inspector in Kent is to face internal disciplinary proceedings after a child was seriously injured by a falling drone in August of last year.
The Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) confirmed it has concluded its investigation into the incident, which occurred in Sheerness, Kent, on the Isle of Sheppey, on 2 August 2025.
The incident is the first time the IOPC has investigated a matter involving a drone.
