Silver prices rose 0.19 per cent to ₹2.40 lakh per kg in the futures trade on Tuesday amid fresh position build-up by participants.On the Multi Commodity Exchange, the white metal for December delivery increased by ₹456, or 0.19 per cent, to ₹2,40,577 per kilogram in a business turnover of 2,655 lots.Fresh positions built up by participants led to a rise in silver prices, analysts said.In the overseas market, silver futures decreased 0.17 per cent to $66.46 per ounce.Published on September 1, 2026
