In an effort to expand access to renewable energy in Nigeria, All On and Energise Africa have invested a total of $4m in the development and deployment of solar-powered mini-grids across 19 communities in Jigawa and Bauchi states.
The project will be executed by Maskh Nigeria Limited, a company comprising professionals with expertise in renewable energy, construction, engineering, electrification and procurement services.
In a statement issued on Monday and made available to our correspondent, the Chief Executive Officer of All On, Caroline Eboumbou, said the project would provide reliable, affordable and sustainable electricity to households, businesses and public institutions currently without dependable access to power.
Noting that the investment was being made under the Demand Aggregation for Renewable Energy Technology Programme, Eboumbou said the project was expected to impact about 100,000 people while supporting local enterprise development, improving access to essential services and reducing dependence on traditional energy alternatives.
