After a long summer of transfer comings and goings, we have reached the final day of the window. Clubs will have until 11pm BST to complete any remaining deals.With Arsenal searching for a forward, the Enzo Fernandez situation still unresolved and Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City very much having unfinished business to complete, we look at the deals that could still get done on Tuesday.This list is informed by The Athletic’s newsroom — including David Ornstein — and their reporting in the final days of the summer 2026 window.Gabriel Martinelli, Gabriel Jesus, Ethan Nwaneri and Arsenal’s front lineArsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli is set to join Saudi Pro League club Al Hilal.As The Athletic reported on Sunday, the clubs are close to finalising a €70million (£60m; $81m) agreement. Riyadh-based Al Hilal want to sign the 25-year-old Brazil international to a four-year contract. Personal terms had not yet been agreed on Sunday, but there is no expectation that these will be an issue.Martinelli is set to move to Saudi Arabia (Alex Pantling/Getty Images)This will be Arsenal’s record sale — the previous best was in 2017, when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Liverpool for £35million. The entire fee is guaranteed and does not include add-ons.Over the weekend, The Athletic reported that Barcelona are closing in on the signing of Gabriel Jesus, potentially leaving Arsenal short on attacking players. They are weighing up a move to sign Malick Fofana, a 20-year-old winger, from Lyon. The Athletic reported he would be a market opportunity after the French club missed out on qualification for the league phase of this season’s Champions League.Arsenal are also interested in Julian Alvarez. The Argentina striker wants to leave Atletico Madrid, but he prefers a move to Barcelona, who Atletico will not sell him to.Borussia Dortmund have made an approach to sign Ethan Nwaneri on loan. The 19-year-old midfielder, who was borrowed by Marseille in January, is yet to make an appearance this season.Folarin BalogunThe United States international striker could be returning to the Premier League after Monaco agreed a deal in the region of £40million with Everton. Personal terms are being finalised.Balogun scored three times in four appearances at this summer’s World Cup, but controversy surrounded him when a red card he received in the first knockout round was suspended for their round of 16 tie after U.S. President Donald Trump called FIFA president Gianni Infantino.The now 25-year-old came through Arsenal’s academy and made two Premier League appearances for them. Arsenal included a 17.5 per cent sell-on clause in the deal that took him to Monaco, of France’s Ligue 1, in 2023.Enzo FernandezAfter Chelsea beat Brighton & Hove Albion 4-3 on Sunday, manager Xabi Alonso said they were still “preparing for all scenarios” when it came to midfielder Fernandez’s future.Manchester City are the suitors. Chelsea imposed a deadline for a £120million offer just over a week ago. But that came and went without a bid from City.Yet Alonso’s comments speak to the fact that Fernandez could still move before the window closes tonight. The Athletic reported on Monday that City are now fully focused on signing the 25-year-old Argentina international after abandoning their pursuit of Liverpool forward Cody Gakpo.Iliman Ndiaye, Jack Grealish, Richarlison, Manchester City, Spurs and EvertonCity are in pole position to complete the signing of Ndiaye.The Athletic reported on Sunday that Tottenham had struck a deal in principle to sign the Senegal international from Everton, who in turn had reached terms for Spurs forward Richarlison to rejoin them, four years after he moved to the north London club.However, City have now forged ahead after agreeing a package worth £65million for the 26-year-old. Ndiaye is expected to undergo a medical on Tuesday morning. Richarlison’s move back to Everton has also stalled.Man City have agreed a deal for Ndiaye (Lewis Storey/Getty Images)Everton have agreed a deal for City’s Jack Grealish to return for a second straight season-long loan, and are on track to sign Fulham right-back Kenny Tete for £9million.Tottenham could yet move on centre-back Kevin Danso, who is seeking a transfer, and have also agreed a deal to sign Tosin Adarabioyo from Chelsea. Personal terms have been agreed, and the 28-year-old defender has been given permission to have a medical.Ibrahim MbayeAston Villa have a deal lined up to sign the 18-year-old forward from Paris Saint-Germain.Late last week, the two clubs agreed a fee worth €55million. The Athletic reported that the relationship between Villa chairman Nassef Sawiris and PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi was seen as key to completing this transfer.Liverpool were also interested, but Mbaye will be joining Villa today. He was at Monday night’s home game against Arsenal.Cody Gakpo, Lucca BrughmansGakpo seems set to stay at Liverpool after City had an £80million bid turned down.The Athletic reported on Monday that all parties have now been in direct communication to confirm the deal is off, after City’s offer of an initial £75million plus £5m in potential add-ons was rejected. Their focus is now on signing Fernandez from Chelsea.Gakpo will not be joining Man City (Lewis Storey/Getty Images)Liverpool are also advancing in a deal to sign goalkeeper Lucca Brughmans of Belgian side Genk, with an agreement near on a deal worth a fixed fee of around £28million, plus another £2m in possible add-ons.The intention is for the 18-year-old to return to Genk on loan for the rest of the season, but this is dependent on whether or not Liverpool’s current No 2 Giorgi Mamardashvili stays beyond tonight’s deadline.Mykhailo Mudryk and Chelsea’s other plansAfter 18 months on the sidelines because of a positive result in a doping test, Chelsea winger Mudryk is available to play and is attracting interest from elsewhere in the Premier League.Tottenham have made an enquiry and a loan to them has been agreed, with personal terms still to be finalised — Spurs head coach Roberto De Zerbi worked with the player when he was in charge at Ukraine’s Shakhtar Donetsk. Though Chelsea rejected Leeds last month when they asked to borrow Mudryk, they are still interested in him.Chelsea have also reached a verbal agreement with Como for goalkeeper Robert Sanchez to join the Serie A club on loan for the rest of the season.Spurs have enquired about Mudryk (Darren Walsh/Chelsea FC via Getty Images)Other issues to keep an eye on…Newcastle United are finalising a deal to sign Matias Fernandez-Pardo from Lille. The 21-year-old can play anywhere across the attack. This could lead to an exit for fellow forward Nick Woltemade, who they signed for a club-record £65million fee last summer. Juventus are in talks over a loan.There is also a big question mark over Manchester United and whether or not they will move for a left-back before tonight’s 11pm deadline.
