Two people were stabbed, one fatally, near Times Square on Monday afternoon, with responding authorities shooting and killing the female suspect, New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani said.One of the victims died from their wounds at the hospital, the mayor said, while the other is in stable condition. Mamdani applauded police for stopping the attack but said an internal investigation would be conducted.
