The woman stabbed two people, a man and a woman, then fled north towards an NYPD substation where officers confronted her, police said.‌The NYPD said that, when approached, the woman refused to put the knives down. The woman, along with the two victims who were stabbed, were rushed to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.‌Dozens of emergency vehicles swarmed the busy intersection, with streets closed down to allow police to carry out their investigation.One witness told how he had recorded the scene with his smart glasses as a woman came running by him armed with two knives.The witness told PIX11 News: "She ran by me at the corner and she had two knives in her hands. She ran down, the cops went by, they surrounded her, talked to her for like five minutes."Article continues belowThe witness claimed the woman was initially tasered by officers, but then rushed towards them before being shot twice.Officers have urged the public to avoid West 43rd Street and Seventh Avenue, an area usually packed with tourists taking in Time Square's iconic glowing billboards.
