RIYADH: LEAP 2026, the fifth edition of the global technology event, opened in Riyadh on Monday, bringing together technology and artificial intelligence leaders, investors and innovators from around the world.
Held under the theme “Into New Worlds,” the conference saw the announcement of launches, investments and partnerships worth more than $15 billion in AI and advanced technologies.
The deals and initiatives are focused on areas including digital infrastructure and advanced computing, as Saudi Arabia seeks to expand its position as a global hub for technology investment.
Minister of Communications and Information Technology Abdullah Alswaha said in his opening address that the announcements reflected Saudi Arabia’s progress toward becoming a leader in AI through partnerships with international companies, innovators and investors.
He said the Kingdom had developed a model for translating technological ambitions into practical results, supported by what he described as agility, reliability and speed of execution.
