U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent met with Russian Finance Minister Anton Siluanov on Monday to discuss a possible end to the war in Ukraine, U.S. media reported.
CNBC News, citing a Treasury Department official, reported that Bessent discussed Trump’s “peace plan” with Siluanov, according to Ukrinform.
No further details or official statements from either the U.S. or Russian side have been released following the meeting.
