Trump Says 'Let Data Reign' In Support Of Data CentersPresident Donald Trump said if people don’t want data centers in their towns, it’s because they want to end up “backwards and poor.”“The only reason that communities throughout the U.S.A. should not want Data Centers is if they want to end up being backwards and poor,” Trump wrote Monday on Truth Social. “If they want to be successful and rich, with far lower taxes and jobs all over the place, let Data Reign. The good news is that there are plenty of other places that want them. If we kill the Golden Goose, you will only have yourselves to blame. China could not be happier with this anti Data Center movement. Actually, they can’t believe it is happening! President DJT”The construction of data centers is a contentious issue and the subject of much political debate ahead of the upcoming midterms. I’m going to miss hearing you all from the inside so much,” he wrote. As a footnote, Messi added that he’d written the note two days after Argentina lost to Spain in the 2026 World Cup final. After his father Jorge Messi died last month, he said, he’s “more convinced than before” that now is the right time to retire.Messi’s retirement from the national team doesn’t necessarily mean he’s done with soccer, however. In 2025, he signed an extension with Inter Miami CF that runs through the end of the 2028 Major League Soccer season.Petting Zoo Owner Speaks Up After Baby Goats Test Positive For RabiesThe owner of a North Carolina petting zoo says she’s “devastated” after four baby goats tested positive for rabies on Friday, potentially exposing humans to the deadly disease at numerous on and off-site events as early as July 28.“These goats are my life. My animals are my life,” Farm Adventures Mobile Petting Zoo owner Misty Love told WSOC-TV. “Everybody that knows me knows my animals are the most important thing in the world to me, so it’s hard.”Love added that the goats weren’t exhibiting traditional rabies symptoms. The animals have all been euthanized.According to the NC Department of Agriculture & Consumer Services, the goats were likely exposed to rabies by a skunk that entered their pen in late July. Love said the goats were intentionally sequestered away from other animals because there is no rabies vaccine labeled for goats. The mobile zoo made 10 stops between July 28 and Aug. 27, including at an assisted living home in Iredell County and a “back-to-school bash” in Lexington, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services said.No human cases have been reported in North Carolina since 2011. The state’s public health lab tested more than 4,000 animals for rabies in 2025, with around 6% testing positive. In North Carolina, the disease most often occurs in skunks, raccoons, bats and foxes.Breaking UpdateThe Met Gala Exhibition Won’t Go Forward As Planned After Backlash Over Controversial DesignerDesigner John Galliano said a planned exhibition to honor his work as part of the 2027 Met Gala will not happen. In an announcement Monday, Galliano thanked the Metropolitan Museum of Art, lead chairperson Anna Wintour and others while noting he did not want to put the museum’s Costume Institute “in a difficult position.” Galliano was convicted of a hate crime in 2011 for anti-Semitic comments.“I remain fully accountable for the pain caused by my words in the past, particularly the hurt I caused to the Jewish and Asian communities, and I remain deeply sorry,” Galliano said in his statement. “I understand that meaningful atonement is not achieved through an exhibition, institutional recognition or a single public gesture. It is a continuing responsibility, demonstrated through listening, learning and one’s conduct over time.”According to The New York Times, recent backlash to the planned exhibition included threats from donors who said they would rescind contributions to the museum should the tribute move forward.Letitia James Says Trump's Fight Against Mail-In Voting Is An Attempt To CheatNew York Attorney General Letitia James attacked President Donald Trump’s efforts to limit mail-in voting, saying his push is to help his efforts in the election since he has “nothing to offer.”When MS NOW’s Jacob Soboroff asked James how the restriction of mail-in voting could disrupt the upcoming midterm elections, she pointed out that ballots are set to go out in North Carolina next week.“It’s important that if you have nothing to run on, if you obviously — if you fail to recognize that the economy is in — we are in the midst of an affordability crisis, if you think affordability is a hoax, if you recognize that tariffs are having an impact on groceries and on the economy, if you have nothing to offer, then you have to cheat,” she said.James noted mail-in voting — which is how Trump cast his ballot in Florida’s primary elections earlier this month — is secure and states, not the president, are responsible for how elections are run.“The Constitution obviously has the last say, not the president and not the postal system,” she said.Watch James on MS NOW here.Rep. He has pleaded not guilty. Davis is accused of leading a group of men to kill Shakur, 25, who was one of rap’s most commercially successful and influential artists, in retaliation for the beating of his nephew.Police say they long suspected Davis but did not have enough evidence to charge him until he went public with his story in media appearances and a memoir, which, along with tapes of his secret meetings with investigators, make up most of the prosecution’s case.Prosecutors with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office are likely to argue that Davis’ story is generally consistent and that he has essentially admitted to arranging Shakur’s killing, which under Nevada law is enough to be charged with murder.Trump Goes On Wild New Anti-Canada TearDonald Trump ramped up his anti-Canada rhetoric on Sunday with a series of posts on his Truth Social platform.Ahead of a looming trade war that Trump has provoked between the U.S. and its northern neighbor, the president claimed his controversial tariff policy has “saved” the American auto industry.Read more here: DAKAR, Aug 31 (Reuters) - The number of confirmed Ebola cases in the Democratic Republic of Congo has exceeded 6,000, government data showed on Monday.Read More From HuffPostFor earlier updates from HuffPost, go here.
