Osun election CP Erale assumes duty as 25th Delta Police Commissioner

ASABA — The Delta State Police Command has welcomed its 25th Commissioner of Police, CP Samuel Etaifo Erale, who has assumed duty in the state.

Erale takes over from CP Yemi John Oyeniyi, bringing to the command more than three decades of operational, administrative and tactical policing experience.

The command’s Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a statement on Monday, noting that Erale was posted to Delta State in August 2026 after serving as Commissioner of Police in charge of security for the recently concluded Osun State governorship election.
