The Frontones Phase II storage plant will be hybridised with the existing Frontones multi-tech facility installed at a site in Albacete province to maximise utilitisation of its 60-MW grid export capacity. The present elements include a 50-MW wind farm, a 26.25-MW solar photovoltaic plant and a 4-MW battery.The new BESS plant will have 18 battery containers, each with 5,015 kWh of capacity, giving a total initial capacity of 90.27 MWh and a useful storage capacity of 80 MWh.
