Dolly Parton has been laid to rest. On Saturday, the late singer’s immediate family gathered for an intimate ceremony at Woodlawn Memorial Park and Mausoleum in Nashville, according to Parton’s great-niece Lainey. Inside the mausoleum, photos posted by a reporter of Nashville’s News Channel 5 to Facebook show a bronze plaque that houses the remains of Parton’s beloved husband of 60 years, Carl Dean. The country icon was likely interred beside him: The plaque lists both of the couple’s names, the date of their marriage, and etchings of their respective hometowns. Parton died last week after a brief battle with cancer; her nephew, Bryan Seaver, announced the news in an Instagram video the same day.
