KACST and Pasqal have signed a research agreement to advance quantum technology research and develop quantum-safe cryptographic solutions in Saudi Arabia.
The collaboration will pair Pasqal’s neutral-atom quantum computing technology and cloud services with KACST’s National Center for Quantum Technologies, with quantum cryptography as the initial focus.
The agreement expands Pasqal’s activities in Saudi Arabia, following its work with Aramco and plans with Eleven Ventures to deploy and commercialize quantum computing systems across the Kingdom and wider MENA region.
PRESS RELEASE – King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST), represented by the National Center for Quantum Technologies (NCQT), has signed a research collaboration agreement with Pasqal (Nasdaq: PSQL), a global leader in neutral-atom quantum computing, to advance research and development across multiple domains of advanced quantum technology and enhance quantum cryptography readiness in Saudi Arabia. The agreement was announced during a ceremony held at King Salman Science Oasis in Riyadh during World Quantum Day.
