With a series of recruitment examinations scheduled to be held in the coming days, the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has stepped up preparations by appointing and training Examination Master Trainers at the district level. The trainers will serve as an effective link between KEA and the district administration and coordinate examination-related activities.A workshop for the trainers was inaugurated on Monday by K. Jyothi, Secretary of the Karnataka Public Service Commission (KPSC), on the KEA premises. She also released a guideline manual for conducting the exams.At the request of KEA, all Deputy Commissioners have deputed two senior lecturers from each district to serve as master trainers. They were provided with full-day training on the procedures and responsibilities involved in conducting examinations.“We have a major responsibility to instil confidence among candidates appearing for examinations,” Ms. Jyothi said. “The State government has decided to undertake recruitment to 72,000 posts, and KEA is responsible for conducting recruitment to a major share of these posts.
