Aug. 31 (UPI) -- President Donald Trump said he will report NBC anchor Kristen Welker to the FCC over her characterization of his endorsements in the midterm election cycle.
Welker described the endorsements as delivering "some mixed results" while speaking with WRC-TV on Sunday. Trump-backed candidates have lost several key primaries, notably including Sen. Randy Feenstra in his campaign for Iowa governor.
Trump said he will report Welker for "rebuke or punishment" from the FCC.
"How can anyone be allowed to say this, working for freely given Public Airwaves?" Trump posted on social media. "Because of this purposeful inaccuracy, she will be reported to the FCC for rebuke or punishment."
