Bank of Baroda will recruit 2,482 Local Bank Officers in Junior Management Grade Scale-I (JMGS-1) on a regular basis across 20 States and Union Territories, including Karnataka.Selected officers will be posted in the State for which they apply for the first 12 years of their service, or until their promotion to the SMGS-IV Grade, whichever is earlier. This deployment will help the bank build a workforce with strong local language proficiency and cultural understanding to deepen customer relationships and strengthen service delivery, a release from the bank said on Monday.The initiative seeks to align the bank’s growth with regional development priorities by creating opportunities for local talent, thereby strengthening its presence in local markets.Eligible candidates can apply online through the bank’s website until September 7, 2026. Applicants must be aged between 21 and 30 as of September 1, 2026, and should be graduates in any discipline from a recognised university. A minimum of one year’s post-qualification experience as an officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank is also desired.Candidates must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking the local language of the State they are applying from, the release added.
