The death toll from a Russian strike on an ammunition depot in Ukraine’s Kyiv region has risen to 38, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Sunday, as rescue teams continued searching for four missing people and investigators examined the storage of explosives near residential areas.
The strike hit a military facility in Myla, west of Kyiv, late on Friday and triggered secondary explosions involving artillery shells, mines, drones and other munitions.
Zelenskyy said most fires had been extinguished, though emergency teams were still working through debris and contamination at the site.
