Insider Brief

Yaqumo was selected for a NEDO project and will work with SCREEN Holdings to develop domestically produced optical components and modules for large-scale neutral-atom quantum computers.

The project will focus on high-speed spatial light modulators, multi-wavelength objective lenses, environmentally stable optical components and more compact systems using photonic integrated circuits.

Yaqumo plans to incorporate the technology into its own systems while pursuing standardized modules that could be supplied to quantum computer developers in Japan and overseas.
